It’s no secret that Taylor Swift has a passion for baking when she’s not writing songs and touring the globe and she’s using those kitchen skills to get in the good graces of Travis Kelce‘s teammates.

Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs head coach, said that in an effort to “fit in,” she made a batch of homemade Pop Tarts for the team’s offensive line, including Patrick Mahomes.

Reid dropped the tidbit during a chat with Mike Florio and Chris Simms at the NFL Scouting Combine. “Kind of behind-the-scenes, she, to fit in she didn’t even know she was doing this, I don’t think she likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen these homemade Pop Tarts,” Reid explained. “So, it was over. She knew right where to go.”

Simms noted that getting in with the linemen was a guaranteed way to have the team on board with anyone, saying, “That gets to the [Patrick] Mahomes heart.”

“She didn’t give me one, and the offensive linemen definitely didn’t give me one,” Reid joked. It’s not the first time that baking has come up in conversations with Swift and the Chiefs.

Former NFL player Bernie Kosar previously that the superstar singer once treated Kelce to cinnamon rolls before a game. “We’re having pregame meal and Taylor is so nice. She comes in by herself and she’s so cool, she brings, she made her homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis for pregame meal,” Kosar said on Audacy’s AM 560 Sports WQAM.

Reid went on to say that Swift’s sweet treats and generosity were an example of her being “grounded.”
“I knew her dad and her mom — good, solid people.

I met her when she was young. And she’s so grounded for who she is. I mentioned somewhere that since the queen passed away, she might be the most famous woman in the world,” he said. “But she handles it.”

Some viewers took issue with Swift appearing on their TV screens during NFL games this season, but Reid said that having her at games was “never an issue — honestly.” “Travis handled it great,” he finished. “She handled it great. And it was never an issue.”
