Ahead of the game, the Chiefs’ Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce received the ultimate compliment from the former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
The former Patriots teammates Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman recently sat down with Complex for an interview. During the interview, they were asked about many things, including what Gronkowski thought about Kelce’s achievements in the league. Gronk didn’t hesitate to crown Kelce as the best receiving tight end of all time.
This is what Gronk said: I don’t think there’s an argument that Travis Kelce is the best receiving tight end in the game.
I would say just overall he has proved it now over the last couple of years and going strong this year as well. Rob Gronkowski told Complex Furthermore, Gronkowski briefly discussed Kelce’s on-field achievements.

Gronk shared some numbers and made a case for Kelce to be considered the best receiving tight end in the sport. Gronk continued: I would say he’s the best receiving tight end to ever play the game of football. So I definitely got to give him props.
He’s proved it on the field over the last seven to eight years, having 1000-yard seasons, seven in a row and just missed a 1000-yard season this year by like 20 yards. Rob Gronkowski via Complex
The former Patriots tight end raved on about Kelce’s dominant performances in playoffs and his records. He also said that the Chiefs player proved people wrong week after week.
Gronkowski is a 4-time Super Bowl champion and is one of the best complete tight ends ever to play the sport. However, Travis Kelce is closing on his records and is now looking to win his third championship ring.
