Ravens Are Reportedly Interested In Star RB

This past season, the Baltimore Ravens were one game away from competing in the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2012 campaign when they won it all.

Unfortunately, the Ravens were unable to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship, and now Baltimore has to spend the next few months figuring out how they can improve their team enough to get over the hump next season.

One way the Ravens might be able to help their chances in 2024 is by improving the talent inside their running back room this offseason.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler recently revealed some info that Baltimore might be interested in signing Saquon Barkley this offseason (via Kevin Oestreicher on Twitter).

The Ravens adding Barkley to their backfield this year seems like it would make their offense even more dangerous for the 2024 season. Baltimore typically relies on quarterback Lamar Jackson to lead their rushing attack, but they might be able to decrease some of his workload as a rusher if they are able to sign the back this offseason.

It will be interesting to see how much Barkley is hoping to make from a new contract since his performance went a little backward last season.

In 14 games, he only rushed for 962 yards and six touchdowns while also hauling in 41 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns.

The Ravens would probably be able to utilize him better than New York did last year, but if his price tag ends up being too high, don’t be surprised if Baltimore says “no thanks” instead.
