Swift had jumped on a jet directly after her Tokyo leg of the tour to get in time for the big Super Bowl event on February 11. She skipped the procession to continue her Eras Tour in Australia. When the news reached her in Melbourne, she called her beau at 6 a.m. local time, only minutes after the victory parade turned sad.



A source close to her told the Daily Mail that she was “extremely worried” when she received the news. stated that she “got on the phone with Travis right away and was so incredibly relieved to hear his voice” . The insider reportedly stated that the pop star was “heartbroken” to learn that someone had died among the chaos. According to sources, the victim was Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a local DJ.



Swift later donated $100,000 to the local DJ’s family via a GoFundMe campaign. Taylor Swift sent her “deepest sympathies and condolences” to the family following the sad loss. After calling her fiance, Taylor called to console her new best friend, Britanny Mahomes, quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife. Travis Kelce also gave $100,000 to help two young girls (and their families) who were injured in the terrible shooting on Wednesday.
