The Green Bay Packers are set to take on the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round of the 2023 playoffs. The Packers are riding a three-game winning streak that, in the end, qualified them for the post-season.
As the Packers prepare for their first playoff matchup since the 2021 season, they are looking at getting a major weapon back on the field for Jordan Love.
Green Bay Packers Weapon Feels 100% Optimistic About Playing Against The Dallas Cowboys
Christian Watson has been sidelined for the last five games due to a lingering hamstring injury. However, he feels extremely optimistic about his chances to play against Dallas. According to Sports Anchor Kyle Malzhan:
Packers WR Christian Watson on the likely hood of playing on Sunday against the Cowboys in the playoffs:
“In my head, it’s 100%. But obviously like last week I still have to prove to them… I am doing everything I possibly can to be able to go on Sunday.”
During last year’s matchup, the Cowboys’ defense struggled to contain Watson’s speed, as he caught four passes for 107 yards and three touchdowns. Entering the playoffs, his return would give the offense a significant boost.
Jordan Love has performed his best under pressure recently. The Packers needed three straight wins to close out the season and qualify for the playoffs. In those wins Love completed 72.6% of his passes, threw for 791 yards, seven touchdowns, and no interceptions. All without Watson.
