Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are coming off a dramatic comeback victory over the Los Angeles Rams at Lambeau Field in Week 9. It was a much-needed victory after the club had lost four consecutive games. Will it be enough to save the season? We’ll have to wait and see, but it’s still a major triumph.
Love has faced a barrage of criticism throughout his first nine games as the Packers’ full-time starter. Things haven’t gone as planned for the franchise, but there are some hints that he may be a long-term alternative. On the other side, there are indications that he may be a flop.
Needless to say, it will be intriguing to watch how Love and the Packers fare in the next nine games of the season. They might have a significant effect on whether he returns as Green Bay’s starting in 2024.
With that in mind, one NFL scout spoke up and lavished Love with praise on NFL Analysis Network. He notices one particular thing that speaks well for the young quarterback’s future.
“I think Jordan Love has heard all of the criticism, but the impressive part is it hasn’t bothered him. Many young quarterbacks would fold under this kind of pressure. Love seems to have it controlled, which is a huge positive sign for his future.”
It is absurd that benching Love has already been discussed in Green Bay. Granted, the performance has not been what one would expect from a Packers quarterback, but it was never going to be the same. For years, Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers indulged the fans, but this is what it usually looks like after moving on from a legendary quarterback.
