The Baltimore Ravens suffered an ugly loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, losing by a score of 17-10 and falling into a first-place tie with the Steelers in the AFC North.
Legendary NFL wide receiver and current Fox Sports analyst Michael Irvin did not like what he saw from the Ravens in Week 5, saying that Baltimore appeared intimidated by Pittsburgh’s defense.

Irvin notes that the Ravens receivers dropped a lot of easy passes from Lamar Jackson, who went just 22-for-38 with 236 yards and an interception in the loss. The Dallas Cowboys legend also mentioned that Odell Beckham Jr. does not look right saying that he does not look confident in his left leg.
That was the same leg in which he tore his ACL back in 2020. Of course, Beckham then went on to re-injure his knee while with the Los Angeles Rams during the Super Bowl in February 2022.
On paper, Baltimore certainly looks like a better team than Pittsburgh, and many expected the Ravens to beat the Steelers at Heinz Field this past weekend.
However, Baltimore’s offense was unable to get anything going throughout the entire contest. While Irvin thinks the Ravens will make the playoffs, he certainly was not impressed with their Week 5 performance, and who could blame him?
Baltimore outgained Pittsburgh 335 to 289 in total yardage, but it turned the ball over three times and was outscored 14-0 in the second half. All 14 of the Steelers’ second-half points came in the fourth quarter.
The Ravens have made the playoffs in four of the last five years, winning a pair of division titles in the process. Last season, Baltimore went 10-7 and made the postseason as a Wild Card.
Though ended up falling to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card Round while Jackson was sidelined with an injury. The Ravens will try to get back on track next weekend when they head on the road to battle the Tennessee Titans.
