The Cincinnati Bengals appear to be building a wall in front of Joe Burrow. After another injury-plagued season for their franchise quarterback, the Bengals have gone out and signed offensive tackle Trent Brown.

Trent will be paired with Orlando Brown Jr. to create one of the heftiest bookend duos in league history. The Brown Brothers (no relation) stand 6-foot-8 and weigh a combined 715 pounds.

With Orlando measuring 6’8″ 345 lbs and Trent 6’8″ 370 lbs. According to ESPN.com, the last time a pair of starting tackles were that size was the 2009 Minnesota Vikings with Phil Loadholt and Bryant McKinnie. Cincinnati inked the former Patriot to a one-year deal on Tuesday.

Brown told reporters that the team’s culture played a big role in why he chose to sign. “That was a huge thing right there,” Brown explained.

“Just being where we came from, where people would get out of there for a release any chance we had. … I’ll be able to just enjoy coming to work on a day-to-day basis and that was important as well when we talk about fit.”

Brown’s best seasons came in New England but towards the end of his second stint the 30-year-old found himself expressing displeasure with the powers that be. Brown was selected by the 49ers in the seventh-round of the 2015 NFL Draft where he spent three seasons before joining the Patriots and Raiders.

He won a Super Bowl with the Pats in 2018 and followed that up with a Pro Bowl appearance the following year.
