The Cincinnati Bengals have a potentially serious injury that will be closely monitored going forward. According to The Athletic’s Paul Dehner, wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is suffering with a back condition that will need to be monitored.

“All I can do is pray and be a good teammate and be there for those guys and try to get healthy. That’s the only thing I can do right now,” Chase told Dehner. “Everybody is counting on me to be healthy.”

Chase stated that he was in pain merely moving around and that his injuries “got worse as the game went on.” He experienced the issue during the Bengals’ Week 9 victory against the Buffalo Bills.

The Steelers will play the Bengals for the first time this season in Week 12 when they travel to Cincinnati. Last season, the two clubs split the season series, with Pittsburgh winning on the road.

The Bengals have won their previous four games, and Chase has two 100-yard outings in that span. He has 697 yards and four touchdowns this season.
