Heading into the 2023 season, the Baltimore Ravens were hoping that the addition of Todd Monken as their offensive coordinator would result in the team’s offense being much more efficient out on the field.
So far, it seems like the Ravens are still trying to figure out what parts of Monken’s offense work best with the personnel they have on their roster.
Through five games this year, Baltimore ranks 20th in the NFL in points scored per offensive drive. Former NFL cornerback Darius Butler recently shared how he thinks the Ravens are going to perform in their upcoming Week 6 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, via “Up & Adams.”
“I think [Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson] will have a big day. He should’ve had a big day [in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers], he knew where to go with the ball.”
“Obviously, [he] can’t throw it and catch it. Even still, late in that [Week 5] game, they still had an opportunity to go in there and win it.”

After winning both of their first two games this season, the Ravens have lost two of their last three contests. Baltimore is technically on the road this week against the Titans, but the game will be taking place in London, England, so both teams will actually be attempting to get a win in a building that isn’t their home stadium.
If the Ravens are going to get a victory on Sunday, then they’re going to have to do a much better job at actually hauling in the passes that Jackson decides to throw.
In their loss to the Steelers last week, Baltimore pass-catchers dropped a whopping seven passes. If that amount had been cut in half, the Ravens probably would have been able to change the outcome.
That performance is one that absolutely cannot be repeated if Baltimore is going to improve their record to 4-2 by defeating the Titans across the pond.
