After helping the Kansas City Chiefs win back-to-back Super Bowl rings, Travis Kelce was awarded a new, two-year extension worth up to $34.25 million.
It was a well-deserved deal for Kelce who has been instrumental in the Chiefs’ success over the years despite some concerns over his age and physical decline.
While Kelce didn’t have the same sort of impact during the 2023 NFL season, he raised his play up a few notches during the 2024 NFL Playoffs by routinely making clutch plays.
Heading into the 2024 NFL season, Kelce should be the primary read in the passing game again though he’ll have more help in the form of Rashee Rice, Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy.
It’s a much stronger receiver corps and one that Mahomes should be able to weaponize accordingly.
The Chiefs recently reported to training camp and Kelce was seen sporting a new look that had fans buzzing via the team’s official Twitter account.

Kelce had a mustache last offseason as well and rocked the look effectively and it looks like he felt compelled to bring it back.
Although Kelce eventually shaved the mustache for the regular season, he could’ve easily kept it throughout.
Facial hair aside, though, it’s good to see that Kelce is back with the team and healthy as they’ll be counting on him to produce on the field.
If all goes according to plan, then Kansas City could very well find themselves in the Super Bowl again.
