The Tampa Bay Buccaneers should be celebrating following a 14-point win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 15, instead, are in reverse motion.

The team is once again in backpedal mode as Buccaneers linebacker Devin White continues to be a bright spot of emotion and misinformation this year.

This latest chapter is being thrust even further into development with White posting on Tuesday, “& just like that !! We back “Built a story but didn’t ask the main character any information.. where they do that at” He finished the post with an upside-down smiling face and prayer – or high five – hands emoji symbols.

The image the text is pasted over is a screenshot of an exchange with one person asking what motivates the receiver of the message the most and the receiver responding, “disrespect”.

This comes after White was inactive on Sunday, a development Stacey Dales reported was not injury-related. After the game was over, however, Tampa Bay coach Todd Bowles said, “Devin told me Friday he couldn’t play – or Saturday or Friday that he couldn’t play – so K.J. was starting. That was the end of it.”

Bowles’ assertion the development came on Saturday or Friday was brought into question because the Buccaneers added rookie defensive back Josh Hayes to the injury report before gameday inactive being announced.

But yet failed to update White’s status at the same time. And finally – for now – Fox Sports’ Greg Auman pointed out in a couple of tweets that the team never pushed back on Dales reporting the absence was not injury-related and that he reached out to White’s agent on Sunday morning about the situation and got no response.

So apparently, the main character’s agent was asked, at least. With that, we close – or at least pause – this chapter of the ongoing saga between the Bucs and their star linebacker.
