We are now less than three days until the NFL trade deadline and the latest report around the Cleveland Browns is a little surprising.
According to Dianna Russini, Cleveland is looking to make a move for a wide receiver before the deadline on Tuesday.
In the off-season, Cleveland added three new wide receivers to the team. They got Elijah Moore from a trade with the Jets, drafted Cedric Tillman, and signed Marquise Goodwin.
The Baltimore Ravens are looking to add a running back, the Cleveland Browns are looking to add a receiver, the Miami Dolphins have poked around at running back, and the Buffalo Bills are scanning the cornerback market before Tuesday’s NFL Trade deadline.

To this point, Moore is the only one who has made any real contributions and even he has not lived up to being the second option behind Amari Cooper like the Browns have hoped. It does not help that Donovan Peoples-Jones’ production has taken a big step back as well, he has less than 100 receiving yards on the season.
Cooper is the only Browns’ wide receiver to have a receiving touchdown on the season.
Surely the lack of production has a lot to do with the current carousel at quarterback. Not having Deshaun Watson on the field to build consistent chemistry with has been a negative.
Tillman the third-round pick has just one catch for five yards. No one thought that Tillman would be a major contributor this season but he figured to be more involved.
Offensive lineman and running back seem like bigger needs, though the lack of production is worrisome at wideout. It’s a surprise that Cleveland has to shop at the position with their off-season investments.
It’s yet to be seen if Cleveland will strike a deal for a player, if it is to happen it won’t be until tomorrow at the earliest likely.
